Special Prayer Service

Following events in London earlier this week, there will be an Interfaith Prayer for Unity Service on Sunday march 26th at 3 p.m. in St Mary’s Cathedral. We will come together to pray and encourage people to continue to work together for peace and unity.

Good Friday Walk of Witness

Whickham Churches Together have organised this ‘Walk of Witness’. It begins at 11.00am, Fellside Methodist Church and ends at St Mary the Virgin Church, by the Green. Everyone is welcome to join this ecumenical gathering. Good Friday Walk of Witness 2015

‘No Greater Love Than This’ – Sung Passion Story by David Ritson

David Ritson who is an accomplished musician, will share with us the Passion Story of Jesus. This is an inspiring reflection which will help us all as we approach the sacred time of Holy Week. St Mary’s Primary School – New Headteacher!

School Governors are very pleased to announce that Mr Wheatley has been appointed as the new Headteacher of St Mary’s School, Whickham, from 1st September 2015. We wish him every blessing as he begins this important role in school, with parents and the wider parish community.
